between file pause

main page | recent changes | preferences

Currently, k2b supports only a between-round pause when broadcasting. Thus, all of the files are sent out, one by one, and then a pause occurs.

With the between-round pause, there is no way to control the spread of the files in time---only the spread of the rounds in time can be specified. A between-file pause would let a broadcaster control the spread of files.

In the kast UI, this should be presented as a "spread files over:" drop-down list. Thus, a broadcaster could elect to spread the files over a 24-day period, and kast would compute the necessary between-file pause (given the number of files being broadcasted) automatically.
